TUESDAY, JUN 16, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Tuesday Tasks.

WEDNESDAY, JUN 17, 7:30 am to 9:00 am, Oregon City Chamber of Commerce, Good Morning, Oregon City meeting at the Post.

THURSDAY, JUN 18, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Auxiliary Sewing Group.

VFW Department of Oregon State Convention in Salem begins.  Go to www.vfwor.org for more information. Also see note 1.

FRIDAY, JUN 19, Department Convention Continues.

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Honor Guard duties at Willamette National Cemetery.

SATURDAY, JUN 20, final day of Department Convention.

SUNDAY, JUN 21, FATHERS DAY.  SUMMER BEGINS.

1. The proposed bylaw amendments and resolutions for consideration at the 2026 Department Convention have been posted for review on the Department website.

The webpage includes the following documents:

  • 127th Convention - Index of Resolutions
  • 400 Series - National Security and Foreign Affairs
  • 600 Series - Veterans Service
  • 2026 Proposed Oregon State Bylaw Amendments

Members are encouraged to review these materials prior to Convention to assist with informed discussion and action during business sessions.

Copies of these materials will also be made available to registered attendees during the Convention.

3. Saturday, July 25, 11 am to 6 pm, First City Celebration, Main Street, Oregon City. We will be renting a recruiting booth, with more details to follow.

4. SPECIAL "4TH OF JULY” EVENT WITH RIVERSHORE VETERANS FIRST FRIDAY BREAKFAST, ON JULY 3!!

5. WARNING: GIFT CARD SCAM ACTIVITY ALERT!

    The VFW Department of Oregon has seen an uptick in malicious requests for people to buy and send gift cards using a fake department commander email.  One of our own Post members has informed me that he was nearly scammed.

  The Department of Oregon VFW does not collect funds in this way.
